West Coast Swing, Hustle, Partnered Blues

Maria has danced since she could walk. With 15 years of training in modernjazz as well as tap, ballet, swimming and synchronized swimming, she is now focused on West Coast Swing, Hustle, Blues, and Balboa. She is a champion Advanced-level competitor with consistent top placements in both West Coast Swing and Hustle, and additional medals in Blues and Lindy Hop.

Since 2007 she has trained and coached both social and competitive dancers, including the champion WCS Team, the Swing Dynamite Westie Bombers, in 2008-2009. When she is not dancing, Maria is a business owner and professional communicator and for six years taught and coached communications in a college setting.

She is a member of the World Swing Dance Council.
